Bus Kids Safe helps make the commute to and from school safer for 100+ school districts in Texas by providing peace of mind for parents and better technology for local schools. The app and online platform allow parents to log in and track their child’s school bus at all times, receiving notifications about delays and route changes.
Challenge
Many school bus transportation systems rely on manual logs to track students and routes. As a result, students are sometimes left behind on buses or parents experience a scare when a bus is delayed without warning. Our task was to develop a web and mobile app that could track students and buses in real time.

Challenge
Many school bus transportation systems rely on manual logs to track students and routes. As a result, students are sometimes left behind on buses or parents experience a scare when a bus is delayed without warning. Our task was to develop a web and mobile app that could track students and buses in real time.
Solution
We created a platform that uses GPS technology to track school buses. It automatically sends schools and parents push notifications when routes are started and completed as well as when students are picked up and dropped off. Bus drivers simply press a button to mark off completed routes, and ISD bus transportation personnel are able to easily track and manage bus drivers and routes.
