Challenge

Texas Butchers is a subscription service for premium cuts of humanely-raised, hormone-free meat. This client had an established local butcher shop but wanted to expand their audience to customers across the country and wanted to sell their products on a subscription basis. The challenge for this project was creating a website design and user experience that educated the user about the subscription service and the various meat options without overwhelming or confusing them. We also had to clearly showcase the benefits of ordering through Texas Butcher’s subscription service as opposed to buying meat from a grocery store.

Solution

Using intuitive user experience design, we developed a website that is simple, straightforward, and funnels users through the process of awareness, consideration and purchase. The new home page design features a “How It Works” section that clearly explains the subscription process. We also created custom front end and back end functionality so that customers can choose from a variety of curated subscription box options—or put their own together—and select how often their products are delivered. Finally, the entire site was designed to integrate with the existing brand and aesthetic of the butcher shop, while also functioning as a stand-alone service.
